We haven't told the girls (below) yet, but our flight to Taipei is scheduled for June 21st, 2012. 

Though still merely in the "mental preparation" stage, we are excited for our first trip to Taiwan. We'll be staying for about a month and seeing as much of the little island as we can on weekends, while remaining close to wi-fi hot spots in Taipei for most of the week. 

Since Mike will be working full time, I will have lots of free time to post "rambles." This first post is really just a test: my first time trying out the "blog thing." I'll share pictures, anecdotes, and observations, and maybe return to the states with some classroom blogging ideas (even on summer vaca I can't get out of the teacher mind-set... it is the curse of the career).
